So far I have been to many national parks in India but the Tadoba visit is close to my heart because of the amazing landscapes, wildlife photographic experiences, and diversity of flora and fauna I came across during the visit because of this I would like to visit the park at least once a year. Undertook the journey during the second week of June’2022 and because of time constraints, was able to stay at the park for only two days during which I took four numbers of gypsy safaris. On the first day was the plan to visit the Pangdi Core Zone and Kolara Core Zone whereas on the second day was planned for the Alizanja and Madnapur buffer zones. Safari timings are 05:30 am-09:30 am and 03:00 pm-06:30 pm in summer. Was able to capture wild dogs, sloth bears, tigers, four-horned antelope, leopard, spotted deers, sambars, Gaurs, crocodiles, and a host of birds which included Indian paradise flycatcher, Indian Pitta, honey buzzard, changeable hawk eagle, different types of woodpeckers. Was fortunate enough to have a glimpse of the pride of Tadoba-The Matkasure, which is a huge tiger and has now entered into the fag end of his life. The climate during June is very hot in the region and so was at Tadoba as well. You need to have good endurance to roam under the scorching sun on an afternoon safari but the same pays you back in terms of good sightings of wild animals, especially the tigers. Had to wait for more than two hours at one place at a particular place, Jharni Tiger’s forest hut in Madnapur buffer zone, at a temperature of around 45 degrees but which ultimately paid me amazingly the sighting of Matkasur and other tiger.
